Maintaining the Quaity and Integrity of Makers Markets is the presentation which Lane Cove ALIVE Project Manager, Bronwyn Clarke, will be giving at the 2011 National Mainstreet Conference, to be held in Adelaide this year.  The Lane Cove ALIVE Art & Design Makers Markets have been a very successful addition to the revitalisation of Lane Cove.  The Makers Markets run on the 3rd Sunday of every month except January attracting quality designer/maker/artists to the Village. The reptutation for quality has spread widely and visitors from around Sydney are coming to Lane Cove to browse, buy, enjoy the cafe culture and absorb the great vibe of the markets.  The Lane Cove Youth Orchestra duos and quartets have become a feature of the morning entertainment with great singer song writers, Cathy Gibson, Dave Calandra and Jazz Diva, Susan Gai Dowling accompanied by Carl Dewhurst making regular appearances in the afternoon session. Lane Cove Council runs a series of festival all year round and the Lane Cove ALIVE Makers Markets are included in these programs.  The most recent is the Harmony Festival running from March to July 2011.  Please see the pamphlet below this article to link through to the whole program.
